چکیده
Abstract Heart disease is the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Many cardiac diseases are associated with altered elastic energy relations heart tissue. However, strain functions describing these characteristics limited since they were designed manually for highly specific experimental setups. In this study, we develop CHESRA (Cardiac Hyperelastic Evolutionary Symbolic Regression Algorithm), an automated constitutive modelling framework, to derive directly from data. Our results indicate that finds reproduce mechanical tissue properties data whilst controlling function complexity. novel approach has potential find strain-energy fit various sets and may contribute automatically building mathematical models understand clinical observations diseases.

Modification of exponential based hyperelastic strain energy to consider free stress initial configuration and Constitutive modeling
In this research, the exponential stretched based hyperelastic strain energy was modified to provide the unstressed initial configuration. To this end, as the first step, the model was calibrated by the experimental data to find the best material parameters. The fitting results indicated material stability in large deformations and basic loading modes. In the second step, the initial pseudo str...
متن کاملConstitutive modeling of skeletal muscle tissue with an explicit strain-energy function.
While much work has previously been done in the modeling of skeletal muscle, no model has, to date, been developed that describes the mechanical behavior with an explicit strain-energy function associated with the active response of skeletal muscle tissue. A model is presented herein that has been developed to accommodate this design consideration using a robust dynamical approach. The model sh...
متن کاملA framework for evolutionary optimization with approximate fitness functions
It is not unusual that an approximate model is needed for fitness evaluation in evolutionary computation. In this case, the convergence properties of the evolutionary algorithm are unclear due to the approximation error of the model. In this paper, extensive empirical studies are carried out to investigate the convergence properties of an evolution strategy using an approximate fitness function...
متن کاملAn Evolutionary Graph Transformation System as a Modelling Framework for Evolutionary Algorithms
In this paper an heuristic method for the solving of complex optimization problems is presented which is inspired equally by genetic algorithms and graph transformation. In short it can be described as a genetic algorithm where the individuals (encoding solutions of the given problem) are always graphs and the operators to create new individuals are provided by graph transformation. As a case s...
متن کاملCost Function Modelling for Semi-automated SC, RTG and Automated and Semi-automated RMG Container Yard Operating Systems
This study analyses the concept of cost functions for semi-automated Straddle Carrier (SC), Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) and automated Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) container yard operating cranes. It develops a generic cost based model for a pair-wise comparison, analysis and evaluation of economic efficiency and effectiveness of container yard equipment to be used for decision-making by terminal pla...
